AGCOK OKC Luncheon - Mayor Holt

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CST)

Description

Mayor David Holt has served as Mayor of Oklahoma City since 2018 and recently completed a term as President of the United States Conference of Mayors.  He was re-elected to a third term as Mayor earlier this year, receiving 86.5% of the vote.   Mayor Holt is a national voice for pluralism, unity, and the idea that diverse communities like his can find common purpose, work together and get things done.  In 2023, Mayor Holt was named by TIME as one of its “100 Next” most influential people in the world.

Mayor Holt has led Oklahoma City through a transformational time and its ascension to the 21st-most populous city in the nation.  Much of the growth has been fueled by a willingness by residents to make investments in the city’s quality of life.  Mayor Holt has brought three major initiatives to his voters since taking office:

·        a $1.1 billion package known as MAPS 4, which is funding 16 quality-of-life projects

·        a $1 billion new downtown arena that secured a 25-year commitment from the Thunder, winners of the 2025 NBA Championship

·        a $2.7 billion package funding 547 core infrastructure projects

All three initiatives passed with over 70 percent support from the voters of OKC.  Mayor Holt also successfully recruited seven events of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, making OKC the only city outside Southern California to host the entirety of an Olympic sport in 2028.

Mayor Holt also currently serves as Dean of the Oklahoma City University School of Law.  He is a member of the Osage Nation and is Oklahoma City’s first Native American mayor.

Mayor Holt previously served in the Oklahoma Senate for eight years.  He received his B.A. from the George Washington University and his J.D. from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.  His wife Rachel is the President & CEO of the United Way of Central Oklahoma and they reside in OKC with their two children.
